Data and coverage
Where MapaPociągów’s data comes from, how to read times and delays, and what the data does not cover.
Timetable: GTFS data
The timetable describes scheduled services, stations and running days, based on open GTFS data. A service being in the timetable does not mean that the train is running right now.
Running data: PKP PLK
Information about running trains comes from PKP PLK data processed by mkuran.pl. How up to date it is depends on the source and on whether the data was collected successfully. The train page always shows the time of the latest source data.
Operators in the timetable and live data
The GTFS file checked on 5 September 2026 listed 13 operators, including PKP Intercity and POLREGIO. These are the operators in the timetable; it does not mean that we have current running data for each of them.
Delay history by train number
For each day, the history shows the latest reported delay of the runs with a given train number. This is not verified punctuality at the final station. Days without data are left out, not counted as zero: a missing history does not mean there were no delays.
Estimates and limits
Map positions are estimates, not GPS readings. Forecasts are not recorded delays. We do not publish punctuality ratings for the whole country or for final stations, and we do not guarantee complete operator coverage, forecast accuracy or uninterrupted availability of the service.
